Would be better with iCade support, but still is very well done.

It only gives you a remake of galaxian for free but controls are good and overall is good. After playing for about 30 minutes I bought all of the games this app has and has not stopped playing since but I had to stop to write this. Im going back to galaga now.

The free game is such a teaser. This app is just an ad for upgrading to purchase @ $7.99 and thats it! Really?!

There should be an option to buy the entire games on the itunes store not just buy them in game because some dont have wireless and stuff and its just easier to buy it all off the store. Idiots.

Best game Ive ever played. Its fun, outgoing entertaining and continuous. My dad played this when he was a kid and when I played it I couldnt get off it. It was the funniest game in the entire world. Its a little bit hard to move but easier to shoot. This game should be a totally beast game. Known as 100 percent 5 STAR.

Crying out for iCade support... Please?

My father loves Galaga, and this is the only game that includes an amazing retro Galaga and my father loves it, so I bought him the iCade too complete the retro feeling, sadly it was for not, this game doesnt support the iCade. Please add iCade capabilities, for the people that love your game but hate the touch screen controls. 4/5, 5/5 if iCade comparability is added.

Id been wanting to have Namcos official Galaga games on my iPad for a while, but the price required access all the games just seemed annoying high. Then after Id spent a whole lot of time and money on some other game apps with addictive in-app purchases, I decided today (2011-12-01): "what the heck, Galaga wont seem like such a high price to pay after all." To my great surprise and pleasure, it so happened that Namco was running a sale of ALL FOUR game buy-ins together for the same price of $7.99! I couldnt enter my iTunes password quickly enough. UPDATE 1: so far, I have tested Galaxian and Galaga 88 30th Anniversary; Ill leave Gaplus for later as it wasnt part of my "upbringing.". I thought there would be some sort of option to play the games in their original incarnations, in addition to their modernized versions with overdriven colors and extra equipment. Guess not. I noted that among the control options, B-Type - where you tap on the game screen to fire and you drag beneath the game screen to move - works really very well. In this mode, the ship movement speed matches your swipe speed, so the faster your finger moves, the faster your ship cross the screen as well. This isnt how the original worked in the arcades, but I feel it does work on iPad. I also like how the shot meter shows how much ammo remains for your weapon and that you cant just rapid-fire endlessly, so a little strategy helps. One neat feature is that you can earn gaming points and use them to "buy" ship upgrades such as More Bullets or Faster Reload which last during an entire game. Great! I dont actually have to spend iTunes credits. I will report back and modify my review as necessary to reflect my experience with the other games. But so far, Im having fun. And I really am glad to have caught the sale.

Good game and ok controls but stupid idea of having to pay 7$ for all games

i would have bought it, if it can be use with iCade controler. I realy dont understand why programer dont add that easy keyboard emulation in their games

Dont waste your time - this is not free - very misleading.

I guess this is a different division of Namco, as the Namco Arcade has Galaga and iCade support. But the most galling part of this app is the ridiculous pricing for updated versions. Wheres the original? Since Im riding a nostalgia wave here, what I would like is the original graphics. Not the crappy hud and retro overlays. Way to screw up something so simple. Add the iCade support, an option for the original graphics and maybe 99¢ for each game and Im in. Youll also get 5 stars from me.

This reads like it has several games including Galaga ... however it only has Galaxian and several links to where you can Purchase Galaga for 3.99 Thumbs down for misleading people.

This is a great game absolutely love but just optimize the screen to fit the iPod 5 and iPhone 5 5c and 5s

You only get the choice of being able to play Galaxian, and you have to buy the rest of the games. The controls are also awful.
