ok, its not that cheap but its really impressive ! However there are bugs : in galaxians i have passed levels 20 & 24 (until 28 so far) and did not get corresponding succes ... Same with original galaga. In addition i cannot connect to the leaderboard even if my wifi is active. What i would appreciate is to have the very original gameplay in galaxians because fire frequency is too much high. despite or these issues i would highly recommend this re-engineered must have ! Thanks Namco, and by the way ... When is galaga legions dx coming live ?

Awesome oldschool Gamescollection! But please Namco, give us the ability to purchase the original Galaga Arcade version. With authentic sounds and graphics! And most of all: iCade Support!!! ICADE ROCKS! (^_^)

There is no playable demo - there must be a reason for this. one star because zero stars are not possible.

A very addicting game. As a fan of Galaga, I really enjoyed this game. I just downloaded and already its one of my most used apps! Although not too happy that we have to pay for the other editions... None the less if you enjoyed this game in the past chances are youl find it fun. P.s. Cool control scheme, simple too.

I, among many others, really thought we were getting GALAGA. Not GALAXIAN. Even if it is a whole package deal, you get to play galaxian, and PUT IN MORE money to get 3 other games. I really would have liked it if it was galaga playable. Just for playing a baitnswitch tactic on me, I am very disappointed and I demand a price reduction of $0.99 each game!

Very misleading title dont even bother downloading. Cannot play or demo without paying.

Include iCade functionality and it becomes gold 5star awesome

Galaga has two things of interest ...captured ships and challenging stage...both r missing from the free game... Drag. Controller is fiddlely too.

I just rediscovered this game from my childhood and I cant stop playing it!

If you can forgive Namco for having Galaga in the title but it will only load Galaxian unless you PAY for the actual Galaga title this app is named after, then youre in for a load of fun. This app plays really well, the graphics and sound have been nicely tweaked, the physics engine is beauty (they fly a little differently than the original). If youre a Galaga fan this app is AWESOME to play. Even old "Grandpa Galaxian" plays great! DO get this app if you want to play Galaga. DO NOT get Namcos other Galaga app, "Galaga Remix". It is a POS, thanks to its extremely laggy controls.

My oh my! What a beautifully done remake of the entire Galaga series. Sure is a good time to be alive these days. 30 years ago, I would never have imagined I would be walking around playing Galaga on something that fits in my pocket, with the same grin on my face :)

I love your apps but please update them to support the icade they are prefect for it.

Id been wanting to have Namcos official Galaga games on my iPad for a while, but the price required access all the games just seemed annoying high. Then after Id spent a whole lot of time and money on some other game apps with addictive in-app purchases, I decided today (2011-12-01): "what the heck, Galaga wont seem like such a high price to pay after all." To my great surprise and pleasure, it so happened that Namco was running a sale of ALL FOUR game buy-ins together for the same price of $7.99! I couldnt enter my iTunes password quickly enough. UPDATE 1: so far, I have tested Galaxian and Galaga 88 30th Anniversary; Ill leave Gaplus for later as it wasnt part of my "upbringing.". I thought there would be some sort of option to play the games in their original incarnations, in addition to their modernized versions with overdriven colors and extra equipment. Guess not. I noted that among the control options, B-Type - where you tap on the game screen to fire and you drag beneath the game screen to move - works really very well. In this mode, the ship movement speed matches your swipe speed, so the faster your finger moves, the faster your ship cross the screen as well. This isnt how the original worked in the arcades, but I feel it does work on iPad. I also like how the shot meter shows how much ammo remains for your weapon and that you cant just rapid-fire endlessly, so a little strategy helps. One neat feature is that you can earn gaming points and use them to "buy" ship upgrades such as More Bullets or Faster Reload which last during an entire game. Great! I dont actually have to spend iTunes credits. I will report back and modify my review as necessary to reflect my experience with the other games. But so far, Im having fun. And I really am glad to have caught the sale.

I am disappointed that this game does not reproduce the original arcade game more faithfully. It plays way too fast in the first levels, probably due to the faster processors on the iOS devices. Like the original it should start off slower and gradually speed up as you go through the levels. The price of the in app purchases are too high as well, IMHO.
